Abstract

This study presents the religious and folk traditions of the Catholic Bulgarian community of Vinga, a settlement located between Arad and Timișoara. It outlines the historical background of the Banat Bulgarians, their migration history, and the preservation of their Catholic identity. The article examines annual customs, feast-day practices, and community rituals connected to the liturgical calendar, demonstrating how religious traditions and popular beliefs shaped everyday life. Despite social and political changes, these traditions have played an important role in preserving cultural and religious identity across generations.
